satu metode pengambilan sampel di mana populasi dipecah menjadi beberapa
kelompok yang disebut sebagai "klaster". Kemudian, beberapa klaster
secara acak dipilih untuk diambil sebagai sampel. Klaster yang dipilih kemudian
dijelajahi secara detail untuk mengambil sampel dari setiap kelompok dalam

the total population is divided into smaller groups or clusters. Then, a random

probability sampling technique in which the population is divided into groups
or clusters, and a simple random sample of the clusters is selected. Then, a
complete enumeration or a random sample of elements is drawn from the selected
clusters."
Leedy dan Ormrod, "Cluster sampling is a
probability sampling technique in which the researcher identifies a population
and then randomly selects clusters or groups from within that population. The researcher
then draws a sample from the selected clusters or groups."
Cochran, "Cluster sampling is a sampling technique in which
the population is divided into non-overlapping groups or clusters. Then, a
random sample of the clusters is selected and all the elements in the selected
clusters are included in the sample."
Cluster sampling merupakan metode pengambilan sampel yang melibatkan pemilihan kelompok atau klaster dari populasi secara acak, kemudian semua unit dalam kelompok atau klaster tersebut diambil sebagai sampel. Metode ini sering digunakan ketika populasi sangat besar atau tersebar di daerah yang luas.
